Madison Elementary School PTA is dedicated to cultivating an inclusive and supportive environment, guided by a lens of racial, gender, and social equity, ensuring that all students, staff, and families have the opportunity to thrive. To further this commitment, a DEI Chair is appointed to the Madison Elementary Executive Board to advance and maintain these values.
DEI COMMITTEE GOALS
REPRESENTATION
Make every effort to foster a PTA board and membership that are inclusive and reflective of its school community
INCLUSIVITY
Encourage PTA activities and communications at schools that are representative and inclusive of all families
ADVOCACY
Support and advocate for activities and practices that eliminate bias, prejudice, and inequities within the school community
COMMUNITY
Encourage families to build relationships with their teachers and school leadership, and share opportunities to broaden students’ exposure to various histories and cultures that are not currently represented in school activities.

We aim to promote increased awareness of diverse cultures, cultivate an inclusive environment, and offer educational opportunities for students and their families.
