Description Of Volunteer Opportunities

Each of these Committees has a chairperson whom you will be assisting, so you will not be alone!

 

 

Awards  -  help assemble B.U.G. awards for the Bringing Up Grades Program, and/or help with organizing certificates and pins for Honor’s Award’s programs each quarter

 

Beautification -  help with planting flowers, weeding, spreading mulch and general beautification of the grounds on selected days a few times each year

 

Book Fair  -  help man the book fair, taking up money for purchases and help “customers”, and/or help with set up and break down of the book fair when it is delivered

 

Character Education  -  help find and implement programs that teach good character traits

 

Cultural Arts  -  help with organization of Reflections program and securing authors, artists, storytellers, musicians, etc.. to come and entertain our students with curriculum related activities

 

Donations  -  help contact businesses and individuals who may be willing to donate goods and services to our school and PTA for various events

 

Field Day  -  help man stations where the classes come play and/or help PTA serve sno-cones

 

Health and Safety  -  help with organizing and implementing activities for events such as Red Ribbon Week, Bus Safety Week, Fire Safety Week, Dental Health Month etc…

 

Hospitality  -  help with organizing snack days/luncheon’s for the staff, Muffins for Moms, Doughnuts for Dads, etc...

 

Kid’s Vote  -  coordinates the Kid’s voting booth at Madison during the November election

 

Label Coordinator  -  helps collect, bundle, and send off box tops and soup labels for fundraising

 

Media Center  -  assist the media specialist with checking in and out books as well as shelving returned books

 

Parent Resource Center  -  helps man the resource center and checks out materials to parents who visit the center

 

Spring Fling  -  help with set up and clean up, run game booths, selling tickets, preparation and selling of food, etc…  MANY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR THIS EVENT !!!!!

 

Terrific Kids  -  help with set up and serving of refreshments to kids who are honored as Terrific Kids each month
